Every guide here is written to be followed by someone who has never opened a settings menu before: the likely cause first, then the fix in numbered steps, then what to do if it did not work.
How we write a fix
- We start with the cheapest and least risky step, not the most impressive one.
- Every step is tested on real hardware where we have it, and sourced where we do not.
- We say plainly when a problem is not worth fixing, and when it needs a professional.
- Guides are dated and revisited when software updates change the steps.
